About the role

You will deliver end to end procurement projects for our business nationally, ensuring LWB is achieving the best possible value for money. This will be achieved through detailed category analysis, market engagement and ongoing supplier relationship Management.  This is a permanent full time role location flexible.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead end to end procurement initiatives in assigned categories
  • Analyse and evaluate all elements of benefits and cost for assigned categories (total cost of ownership) to identify and obtain improvements
  • Lead, monitor and manage contract arrangements with existing Suppliers as well as establish new supplier relationships
  • Measure and monitor supplier performance, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Develop, track and report on appropriate category performance metrics
  • Develop and maintain supply market knowledge
  • Manage contract terminations, expirations, extensions and renewals
  • Prepare briefings and reports on categories under management

Skills & Experience

  • Significant experience in category management, including end to end procurement within a large organisation with a demonstrated history of achieving savings across multiple categories
  • Demonstrated experience in the administration and oversight of nominated categories
  • Proven knowledge of contemporary procurement practices
  • Strong commercial acumen with advanced and proven analytical and reporting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation ability
  • Proven experience partnering with stakeholders to deliver the best outcomes

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
