About the Role 

Reporting to the National Manager for People Safety and Culture Business Partnering, you will be instrumental in leading the NSW team to coach Leaders to model and strive toward an optimal work environment, culture, systems and processes that allow the business to deliver the best service possible.

You will play a pivotal role as a visible leader across the business to guide your team to partner with the business to develop a culture that encourages accountability and collaboration. Requires both the development of strategy and execution in the here and now. You will be hands on in your approach with a deep technical knowledge of best practice HR business partnering, in an evolving and often tactical environment.

Collaborating with a group of SME’s across the People, Safety and Culture function you will work closely with Leaders to represent PSC and develop / implement HR initiatives and solutions that are customer centric and align to the PSC strategy. You will partner with the State Director for Children, Youth & Family and their Leadership team as major stakeholders, to provide the highest calibre of support to these services.

This is a newly created role due to growth and you will have the opportunity to work flexibly from home, and our office in Hurstville or Newcastle.

Responsibilities include

  • Develop and support the PSC strategy within the NSW Children, Youth & Family directorate
  • Implement, model and support national PSC service delivery standards
  • Provide operational and strategic leadership and advice on a range of HR and IR matters
  • Implement and advise on processes, policies and procedures that relate to operational PSC service delivery and advice provision
  • Manage a team of PSC Advisors
  • Ensure a high level of quality in customer service, and provision of effective and efficient delivery of PSC services
  • Coordinate and manage PSC / IR projects

Skills & Experience

You are an experienced HR leader, with deep generalist expertise and time in a leadership role. You have worked within a best practice HR Business Partnering model and bring significant experience in a large, complex and geographically dispersed organisation and be able to engage at all levels of the business, from presenting to the Executive through to frontline employees.

You will work at pace, be a self-starter with a high attention to detail and will build a strong reputation through delivery. You will lead the development and execution of full end to end solutions that the people, safety and culture function can provide to support and provide innovative and commercially focussed outcomes for the business. Importantly you will be an engaging, authentic and present leader to your team.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
