About the role

Work alongside CRSWs and Peer Workers to support the transition of current clients into the NDIS. In this role you will assist your peers supporting clients to test their eligibility, complete pre-planning documentation with clients, engage with stakeholders to promote LWB services under the NDIS, and facilitate workshops for clients, carers, the community and other stakeholders to provide information on the NDIS and application process.

This is a 12-month contract working 30.4 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test eligibility for services under the NDIS, identifying client needs, preferences and expectations.
  • identify the outcomes they would like to achieve and articulate their support needs to the NDIS in applying for their NDIS package.
  • scope and establish the agreed service prior to developing a Service Agreement.
  • Prepare presentation materials for workshops for clients, carers, the community and other stakeholders of the NDIS.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum Certificate IV or tertiary qualification human services or related discipline.
  • current drivers’ licence.
  • Experience providing client services within the mental health sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing competing priorities to deliver outcomes within agreed time frames and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a dynamic, high volume work environment.
  • Demonstrated strong experience in stakeholder engagement and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including peers, employees, external organisations, funding bodies and government agencies.
  • Working knowledge of Person-Centred Planning and the NDIS.
  • Strong public speaking skills and experience presenting material to mixed audiences.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
