About the role

This is a new role responsible for coordinating the client consultation with all VDAS NDIS clients who are transitioning from state based funding to NDIS funding and to support VDAS Client Services to be prepared for tracking and claiming of all agreed NDIS funded supports.  This is a full time, 12 month maximum term contract role, location flexible.

Key Responsibilities  

• Work in partnership with VDAS Client Services and the clients to understand their needs and expectations
• Work with clients and key staff to develop a Service Agreement that reflects customer needs and preferences
• Provide information about service capacity and limitations to clients
• Work with VDAS Client Services to ensure accurate tracking and claiming processes are in place
• Complete tracking and monitoring of systems, service satisfaction activities and weekly reports 
• Establish services within the parameters of relevant legislation, policy and procedure including HSE, IR and the National Disability Service Standards

Skills & Experience  

• Tertiary qualifications, minimum Certificate IV in Disability, Mental Health or Community Services or equivalent demonstrated knowledge and experience
• Current driver’s license
• Demonstrated experience engaging and supporting clients / customers and their families to enable them to understand new information and make informed decisions
• A sound understanding of person-centred approaches, the principles of the NDIS and the National Disability Service Standards
• The ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including peers, employees, external organisations, funding bodies and government agencies
• Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Demonstrated experience in managing competing priorities and to deliver outcomes within agreed time frames and quality standards
• Demonstrated ability to use data bases and  Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word and Excel

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
