Life without Barriers is a leading social purpose, not for profit organisation of over 8,000 employees working in more than 500 communities across Australia. We support children, young people and families, people with disability, older people and people with mental illness. We work with people who are homeless and refugees and asylum seekers.
For 25 years we have challenged the traditional ways of doing things, something forged by our founders – courageous families not willing to accept that any person should be denied opportunity. Our Purpose is clear - we strive to contribute to a world where each person can live a life free of barriers that prevent them from realising their rights and opportunities.
Leaders who thrive at Life Without Barriers are centred by our Purpose, actively build an inclusive culture and bring out the best in the people they work with.
You have the opportunity to join the Disability and Mental Health (DMH) Directorate at a pivotal time where we are focused on achieving our commitments to the people we support, their families and delivering Strategy 2025 and the Elevate Reconciliation Plan.
As a valued member of the team, you will coordinate operational activities for the Disability and Mental Health (DMH) Directorate to ensure that operational systems and processes are efficient and fit for purpose, and create national alignment across DMH.
Reporting to the Director – Business Operations DMH, you will provide timely, confidential, and high-quality project management, operational advice and support to the DMH leadership team as well as coordinating operational performance improvement processes and the implementation of national projects.
Your business acumen, analysis and project and stakeholder engagement skills will enable you to coordinate operational performance improvement processes and the implementation of national projects.
This is a permanent full-time position with flexibility to work from home and/or in any of our many offices throughout Australia.
To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exemption certificate. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check.
