About the role

Maximise the use of the intranet and play a key role in coordinating key stakeholders, engaging and training users, and working in partnership with ICT to sustain and evolve the intranet platform. This is a 12 month maximum term contract that can be based in either Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Newcastle. You will be joining a dynamic digital team in one of Australia’s largest and leading social purpose organisations of 7,500 employees. Your experience in content management systems and technical skill will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate the redevelopment of the Life Without Barriers (LWB) intranet from its current platform to SharePoint 365
  • Conduct research and analysis into the understanding of intranet user needs and suggest potential improvements to the user experience
  • Manage the primary real estate of the homepage
  • Integrate and profile LWB’s social media content into the intranet
  • Participate and contribute in projects to improve sections of the intranet or the delivery of new tools
  • Monitor user-generated content for appropriateness
  • Manage Yammer and MS Teams and help increase their relevancy and use through increased awareness and engagement with the platform
  • Monitor site analytics and report on key performance indicators
  • Actively create increased engagement with the Intranet
  • Develop, recommend, implement and evaluate best practice communications and content initiatives and approaches
  • Work with ICT and other key stakeholders to facilitate the creation and maintenance of intranet site navigation and information architecture

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or other relevant field
  • Strong demonstrated experience implementing or managing websites or intranets
  • Demonstrated experience with common web technology (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) with SharePoint a preferred known skill
  • Demonstrated experience and familiarity with social software and other web-based technologies
  • Knowledge and understanding of general CMS systems and social media platforms
  • Excellent editing, copywriting and storytelling capabilities
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Ability to support organisation-wide initiatives
  • The ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, and ability to think laterally and strategically

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
