About the role

Life Without Barriers supports our ageing community to remain living independently within their own home. Home Care Workers at Life Without Barriers work as a team to facilitate the delivery of quality services and achieve positive outcomes with clients in a positive and proactive environment.
  
Due to growth in our Aged Care service program we are looking to employ values-based staff who will shape Aged Care within LWB. We are looking for a Home Care Worker willing to provide Domestic Assistance and Personal Care to clients in our growing Aged Care programs in Victoria.
  
This role will be working Monday to Friday, with a minimum of four days. The hours will be between 20 and 30 hours per week. This is a permanent part-time role with benefits of paid training and reimbursed travel (Paid kms).

Please be aware that you will be working in client's homes. This will not be facility work. You will also be required to have your own car and travel between client homes in your local area.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Assist with client personal care needs
  • Assist clients to maintain a clean home environment by completing basic domestic chores
  • Assist clients to access their community 
  • Provide quality direct support to clients in line with their individual Care Plan
  • Support clients skills, independence, and personal growth
  • Establish a rapport and collaborate effectively with clients and their carers
  • Attend, participate and contribute to all team meetings and supervision meetings
  • Maintain and update professional skills by actively participating in training opportunities

Skills & Experience  

  • Certificate III in Aged Care.
  • Current, full Drivers’ License plus a registered and insured vehicle
  • Current First Aid Certificate  

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check.
