About the role:

The Finance and Administration Officer is a key resource to enable the operations stream to achieve its finance related objectives and comply with organisational finance related policies and procedures at regional level. This is a part time maximum term contract position based in our Dandenong office.  This role is 30 hours per week and the preferred days of work are Tuesday – Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts payable and receivable processing including debtor management
  • Review transactions to ensure correct calculation, coding and processing
  • Assist in monthly Departmental quality assurance audit
  • Assist in meeting deadlines for month end journal and monthly invoicing
  • Assist in reviewing staff and client coding to ensure system data integrity
  • Resolve general finance enquiries
  • General ledger reconciliations

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable or similar - fast paced, transactional finance role
  • Knowledge of GST processes and requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritise and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to identify problems and take corrective actions
  • Confident communication skills with an ability to build rapport with stakeholders
  • Intermediate Excel skills and experience using a computerised accounting system

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
