About the Role

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and committed Disability Support Workers with previous experience to join our Lifestyle (Community) support team in Taree on a casual basis.

In these roles you will support people with disability to live independently, access the community, develop and enhance their life skills and to achieve their personal goals.

The clients we support have a broad range of support needs that include high or complex medical needs, dual diagnosis and behaviours of concern. You will be required to actively support our clients to live independently through the provision of daily living support (including personal care), domestic duties, community access, mentorship, assistance with medications and support to achieve their individual goals.

Due to the support needs of our clients, you must be available and willing to work a varied pattern of shifts including short shifts, afternoons, evenings and weekends in order to be considered for these roles.

Skills & Experience 

  • Previous experience supporting People with Disability, behaviours of concern and/or mental health
  • Certificate III in Disability, Community Services or similar OR willingness to obtain
  • NSW Drivers Licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Sound computer, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adhere to client support plans and complete documentation
  • Commitment to providing quality support. customer choice and inclusion

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
