About the Role

Working as a Disability Support Worker your goal is to empower our clients by helping them to live independently and achieve their goals in a Supported Independent Living environment. This opportunity in the Port Macquarie area is a great way for locals to give back to the community and make a difference as a front-line worker.

Successful applicants will be resilient and have a demonstrated passion supporting people who live with disability. Preference will be given to those who have experience working with clients with complex medical needs, dual diagnoses and behaviours of concern. Due to the support needs of our clients, it is important that candidates are able to work flexibly across a 24/7 roster which includes active night shifts and weekends

Skills & Experience 

  • Previous experience in Disability, Community Welfare or similar
  • An unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence
  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • Sound computer, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow individual support plans, behaviour support plans and health care plans
  • Commitment to providing quality support, customer choice and inclusion

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check.
