About the role

We have an opportunity for an experienced Support Worker for regular shifts with male clients based in the Northern Suburbs (Mirrabooka & Ballajura areas). The ideal candidate will have with experience in delivering high quality in-home supports such as:

  • Supporting clients with personal care
  • Wound management
  • Wheel chair strapping in van for transport
  • Medication
  • Experience with clients who have diabetes

We can offer a minimum contract of 10 permanent hours per week (with the opportunity to take more shifts).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support our clients to work towards achieving their individual aims
  • Support in day to day living and in-home supports
  • Monitor and review client’s progress through the service and against the case plan
  • Utilise positive behaviour strategies
  • Maintenance of progress notes and record keeping

Skills & Experience

  • Experience with varied health needs 
  • Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
  • Certificate III Community Services, Disability or similar or willingness to obtain
  • A professional and positive outlook about direct care work
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate ('Provide First Aid' & 'CPR')
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (online via NDIS Commission website)
  • NDIS Screening Check (online via Department of Transport)

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
