About the Role

We are seeking a Disability Support Worker with previous experience working with young adults in Supported Independent Living (Group Home) settings to join our team on a Casual basis in Minto.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with young adult clients who display behaviours of concern, a strong understanding of medication management and administration, strong written communication skills including previous experience with incident reporting and client documentation and will be available for our Morning Shifts from 6am to 10am.

The successful candidate may also be given the opportunity for additional shifts across a 24/7 roster that includes regular shift work, active night shifts, weekends

Key Responsibilities

  • Assistance with clients daily living (including personal care)
  • Participation in activities of daily living
  • Assisting Clients with Community access and transport
  • Maintaining and monitoring person-centred plans
  • Following individual support plans and behaviour support plans where required
  • Documentation and progress note keeping

Skills & Experience

  • Certificate III in Disability, Community Welfare or similar
  • Current NSW Driver's license 
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Previous experience working with clients who display behaviours of concern
  • Strong understanding of medication management and administration
  • Strong written communication skills, including previous experience with incident reporting and client documentation
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts across a 24/7 roster
  • Ability to maintain service user privacy and confidentiality

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check.
