About the role

We are looking for a Disability Support Worker who’s experience aligns with our clients goals, needs and interests. This role includes supporting a female client who enjoys arts & crafts and shopping. The successful applicant will have great communication skills, similar interests and experience working with ASD. 

You will be available 10:00-13:00 Monday , 16:00-19:00 (times flexible) Thursday and 10:00-13:00 on Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish rapport and collaborate effectively with our clients and their families to achieve positive outcomes
  • Community access and transport
  • Documenting & Progress Note keeping

 Skills & Experience

  • Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
  • Certificate III Community Services, Disability or similar or willingness to obtain
  • A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities and personal goals of people with disabilities
  • A professional and positive outlook about direct care work with an understanding of professional boundaries
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 & HLTAID001)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate 

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
