About the Role

Provide high quality clinical services in the Disability Program as part of a professional multi-disciplinary team. This role is working as a Clinician/ NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner and would be covering a geographical area from North West Melbourne to the South East of Melbourne with one other Clinician. 

We are a Values focused NDIS provider offering Billable and non-billable service provision. We are able to support professional supervision arrangements

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assessments of clients' cognitive and learning abilities, living skills, emotional and mental health status and behavioural profile;
  • Develop and monitor intervention plans and strategies around challenging behaviours exhibited by people with a disability, people with a mental health issue with high and complex needs;
  • Opportunity to deliver training to staff, Carers and Clients in group and individual settings on a range of relevant topics. 

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Allied Heath, (Psychology, or Occupational Therapy);
  • Current Registration with the relevant professional body of Australia covering your profession e.g. Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
  • Provisional registration as a NDIS Practitioner or in workings to undertake this status
  • Understanding of the issues, services and legislation affecting the delivery of services for people with disabilities;
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and to participate in reflective practice sessions with the team;
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, ability to use initiative and peer support, problem solving and conflict management skills;
  • High-level communication, influencing, liaison and negotiation skills, including the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Current Drivers Licence.
