About the role

Based in our Hurstville, Penrith or Tuggerah office this role will be key to providing clients and their families clear information and advice about Life Without Barriers disability services. As the first point of contact, the successful candidate will engage with potential clients to develop service agreements that reflect their needs and preferences. Experience within the disability sector along with customer service experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and respond to enquiries via email and phone from prospective clients
  • Work in partnership with clients to understand their needs and requirements
  • Work with clients and key staff to develop Service Agreements that reflect client needs and preferences
  • Work within the principles of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and relevant legislation
  • Ensure all enquiries are responded to in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide information about service capacity and limitations to clients
  • Work with relevant staff to scope and establish the agreed service prior to service delivery
  • Complete all required documentation in a timely manner and in line with relevant policy and procedures
  • Provide reports that include new client data, exits, trends and positive outcomes

Skills & Experience

  • Certificate IV in Disability, Mental Health or Community Services or equivalent demonstrated knowledge and experience
  • Understanding of person-centred thinking, the principles of the NDIS and the National Disability Service Standards
  • Knowledge of relevant community networks and mainstream disability services
  • Strong customer service and communication (both written and verbal) skills
  • An ability to build relationships and work effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Experience working in a dynamic, high volume work environment
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
