About the Role

As an Assistant in Nursing (AIN), working under the direction of the Nursing Unit Manager and Registered Nurses, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing high quality, holistic, person centred nursing support to People with Disability living in a specialised nursing unit in Emu Plains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhering to individualised health and support plans
  • Assisting with personal care and hygiene
  • Meal preparation & mealtime management support.
  • Hoisting and manual handling
  • In home domestic duties
  • Transportation support

Skills & Experience 

  • Certificate III Health Services Assistance, Aged Care or equivalent
  • Previous experience supporting people with disability with complex medical need in an AIN role
  • Experienced in seizure and epilepsy management
  • Ability and willingness to work a variety of shifts across a 24/7 roster including weekends, active nights and public holidays
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
