About the Role

In this role you will provide person-centred nursing care, domestic assistance and active support to people living with a disability. Prior experience supporting people living with disabilities will be highly regarded but not essential. Due to the support needs of our clients, we also ask our Assistants in Nursing to work flexibly across a 24/7 roster. This includes short shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality care for people with disability in line with their individual lifestyle plans
  • Observe and report changes in clients’ health and daily living needs in a timely manner
  • Cooperate within a team to share information and ensure consistent service delivery
  • Complete required documentation to ensure accurate records are maintained
  • Report potential risks and safety hazards to maintain a safe work environment for all

Skills & Experience

  • An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
  • The ability to work flexibly around a 24/7 roster
  • Clear and honest communication and basic computer skills
  • Experience or a certification in manual handling preferred
  • A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or 011
  • Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability, Home and Community Care, or similar

Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
