About the role

In the role of Administration Officer, you will be part of the Children, Youth and Families program and your job will be to provide administrative and reception support and assistance to managers to ensure the team can provide the best possible service to our clients. Duties will include providing reception support, managing telephone calls and correspondence, diary management for room bookings, processing and compiling information for reports, adhering to OH&S policies and procedures and general adhoc administrative duties as required by your manager.

Skills & Experience  

  • High level administrative skills and experience in providing support to staff and clients
  • Strong written and oral communication, warm and friendly customer service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with due attention to reliability and integrity in order to establish a good rapport with the team and provide excellent customer service to all clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to use initiative in the workplace and demonstrate problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work with clients from diverse cultures some with limited English skills and people with disabilities
  • Effective time management and organisational skills, ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and work well under conflicting time pressures
  • Ability to coordinate meetings, create agendas and develop detailed minutes
  • High level of ability in using Microsoft Office suite programs, including Outlook and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Current Driver’s Licence.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
