We are seeking passionate, energetic and caring Support Workers who truly love what they do, supporting male customers with specific disability needs.

Own It - How we get the job done

As a Support Worker within this Supported Independent Living accommodation service (SIL), you will be required to:

  • Help customers engage with their local communities, culture and recreational activities
  • Assist with and coach independent life skills such as cooking & cleaning
  • Provide a high level personal care using hoists and other mechanisms
  • Administer medication and adhere to support plans
  • Complete clear, concise and factual handover notes and incident reports
  • Manage complex and challenging behaviours

Make It Matter - What you will bring to make a difference in others' lives

  • Strong communication skills
  • Current drivers licence (Mandatory requirement)
  • Current Yellow Card (or be willing to obtain)
  • Current Blue Card (or be willing to obtain)
  • Current First Aid Certificate, HLTAID003
  • Formal qualifications in Disability, Community Services or Welfare will be advantageous
  • Be willing to be available to work a 24/7 rotating roster which includes evenings, awake shifts, sleepovers and weekend shifts
  • Previous experience supporting people with a range of behavioural concerns and needs
