About the role

Due to continued growth within our programs we are seeking Support Workers who have a passion for helping people & who believe they are a perfect fit for our core values. We have positions available in both individual support and accommodation services with a wide variety of customers.

As a Support Worker, you will be required to:

  • Help them to engage with their local communities & culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activities
  • Assist with and coaching independent life skills such as cooking & cleaning
  • Provide personal care
  • Administer medication

To be considered for these opportunities, you will need the following:

  • Experience with customers with challenging behaviours
  • Confidence and professionalism in your ability to provide customer focused support
  • Ability to be flexible within your work environment and to work as part of a team
  • Strong professional boundaries and the ability to follow procedures
  • A high level of written and verbal communication skills
  • PART Training will be advantageous, full training will provided to successful applicants
  • A current driver’s licence
  • A current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Availability to work a 7 day roster which will be a combination of shifts including mornings, afternoons, night shifts, weekends and public holidays
  • Have the skills and knowledge to cook and teach healthy eating
  • Knowledge of the Disability Inclusion Act 2014

Desirable, not essential for the role:

  • Relevant qualifications in Community Services, Disability Services or equivalent

You may be required to work a combination of shifts which could include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends across varied hours.
