We are seeking passionate, energetic and caring support workers who enjoy what they do - improving the lives of their customers.

Own It - How we get the job done

We are providing complex support to people with an intellectual or physical disability who have had contact with, or are at risk of entering, the Criminal Justice System. Support is provided through drop in and residential services to people with intellectual disability, cognitive deficit, personality disorder, or mild to serious mental illness to assist them develop life skills and work towards living independently in the community.

As a support worker in this team you will:

  • Provide mentoring and skill development
  • Assist with coaching independent life skills such as cooking, cleaning and budgeting
  • Providing personal care such as showering, toileting and dressing when required
  • Providing 24 hour support to our clients
  • Helping our clients to engage with their local communities and culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activities
  • Administering and managing medication
  • Assist customers to meet their individual support plans and Legal obligations
  • Assist customers with their mobility by the use of hoists, lifters and walkers as required (Training will be provided)

Make It Matter - What you will bring to make a difference in other's lives

  • Be willing to be available to work a 24/7 rotating roster which includes mornings, afternoons, awake shifts and weekend shifts
  • Previous experience supporting people with a disability
  • Experience of supporting people with medication needs
  • Experience of collecting medication data for clients to monitor their health
  • Experience working with people who have a range of behavioural concerns and needs
  • Experience working with people who are non-verbal
  • Current drivers licence
  • Current Provide First Aid certificate
  • Formal qualifications in Disability, Community Services or Welfare will be advantageous
