We are looking for individuals who will embody our values and are passionate about meeting the needs of our customers and help them lead a good life. We are seeking applications from Support Workers to work in Disability.

The range of supports may include:

  • Independent skill building in various settings
  • Residential in-home, respite services and drop-in home supports
  • Community participation
  • Supporting access to medical assessments and appointments
  • A variety of shifts throughout the week; 2 to 8 hours, respite shifts and sleepovers

We require passionate and energetic part-time Support Workers with a view to become permanent and an eagerness for career progression, to provide support to a variety of customers. As a Support Worker, you will assist these customers to develop key lifestyle skills and help them to engage with their local community. You will be responsible for assisting customers work towards their goals and assist with activities and routines.

What You Need to be Successful in this role?

  • Strong communication skills
  • Current drivers licence (Mandatory requirement)
  • Current Yellow Card (or be willing to obtain)
  • Current Blue Card (or be willing to obtain) & other probity checks
  • Current Provide First Aid Certificate, HLTAID003 (Or be willing to obtain)
  • Formal qualifications in Disability, Community services or welfare will be advantageous
  • Be willing to be available to work a 24/7 rotating roster which includes evenings, awake shifts, sleepovers and weekend shifts
  • Previous experience supporting people with a range behavioural concerns
