We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Support Worker to join our Rockhampton team with a focus on supporting and guiding the team of support workers and ensuring alignment with service compliance and local community/family engagement.

The key functions of the role include:

  • Ensure service compliance with legislation as well as internal processes
  • Embed the new comprehensive action plan which is being rolled-out throughout the service
  • Progress the action plan implementation for compliance with service delivery and system practices and processes
  • Encouraging the team to identify and implement strategies to ensure continuous improvement of service delivery.
  • Fostering exceptional working relationships with colleagues, customers, their families, and external stakeholders
  • Coaching and mentoring support workers in their duties ensuring that policies, procedures and documentation requirements are followed
  • Be an ambassador for Lifestyle Solutions within the community upholding high professional standards in behaviour, presentation, and work ethic

As a Senior Support Worker - Disability, you will have the following skills and experience

  • Sound experience in customer service, with effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to perform business-related activities such as negotiation, networking and relationship management
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with external and internal stakeholders
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to lead direct care staff to ensure they work effectively to deliver high quality services
  • Be well organised and planned to establish workloads and set priorities
  • Ability to work flexible hours on a roster system (incl. weekends, late nights and early mornings)
  • Demonstrated senior experience working within a disability support environment and NDIS service delivery models of care
  • Reliable transport and valid driver's licence
  • Current Provide First Aid certificate (HLTAID003)
