About the Role

The HR Specialist provides a range of human resources services. You will partner with our service delivery teams in either Child and Family or disability, to manage day to day employee matters and support the business with strategic HR initiatives.  You will provides advice and support on recruitment strategies, retention, employer of choice, industrial relations, career development, workforce planning, and employment relations. You are an experienced HR professional who brings a pragmatic approach to resolving employee grievance, performance issues and truly partners with our business leaders to ensure our teams are delivering the best service to the people we support in the community. 

About You

The ideal person will be able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and the ability to communicate with staff across all levels of the organisation.

Key criteria will include:

  • Extensive HR business partnering and coaching experience, with highly developed consultancy and negotiation skills
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures and contemporary developments in human resources management, including the Fair Work Act 2009
  • Solutions that create a positive and respectful working environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with staff at all levels
  • Extensive investigation management and resolving matters with employees and their leaders
  • Drive the implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures based on relevant legislation and contemporary HR management practices.
  • Highly-developed interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and provide clear and accurate advice
