Our team in Broken Hill is growing! As a House Coordinator, you will enable our Children and Young People to improve their quality of life, participation in the community ensure service delivery is person centred. This will be achieve by providing excellent support, supervision and management of our team of Therapeutic Support Workers.

Own It - How we get the job done

As the House Coordinator, your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Overseeing the Residential Care House including supervision and training of Therapeutic Youth Workers
  • Incident Management & completing Risk Assessments 
  • Maintaining a high level of communication with all parties - including customers, stakeholders, staff and families
  • Rostering & monitoring staffing expectations

Essential requirements for this role are as follows:

  • Experience managing a residential service with excellent knowledge or significant experience in meeting the holistic needs of Children who have experienced significant trauma and/or a disability
  • Sound knowledge of the Child Care and Protection Act
  • Strong Leadership skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team 
  • Highly developed Microsoft office suite skills & rostering experience 
  • Demonstrated passion and drive to help support Children & Young People to create positive outcomes in their lives

Desirable

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Social Science, Behavioural Science or Psychology (or in progress)
