About the Role

A new role has been created for an experienced workplace Trainer.  Knowledge and experience of the early childhood education and/or the community sector is desirable as is an understanding of the NDIS.

The role is based at Lifestart’s head office in Sydney Olympic Park, with training delivered to our teams across Sydney basin, Illawarra Shoalhaven and Central Coast regions, either remotely or in person.

You will be responsible for developing, planning, delivering and evaluating contemporary learning and development initiatives that boost employee capability and supports their professional development. You will be comfortable designing a range of digital and face to face learning programs that support Lifestart’s compliance requirements as an NDIA Partner.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with NDIA to ascertain compliance and quality requirements when developing staff learning content, including maintaining updated on relevant changes
  • Complete training needs analysis to ensure currency to NDIA compliance requirements
  • Develop and implement a learning and development framework using contemporary tools and techniques
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to design, develop and deliver specialist training as detailed in the Statement of Requirement (SoR) and associated documents
  • Deliver training programs, including inductions as required
  • Ensure staff have achieved high understanding and competence in the training undertaken, and completed within set timeframes
  • Attend training and/or meetings with the NDIA as required, ensuring updates are provided to relevant members of each team
  • Manage course scheduling, training records etc in our HRMS and respond to training requests and queries in a timely manner
  • Support training projects and activities including admin tasks, room set up, multi-media requirements, identifying resources, ensuring appropriate communications, and/or tracking progress
  • Work in conjunction with others to prepare regularly scheduled and adhoc reports

Qualification, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
  • Experience in adult education and creating engaging content for learners
  • Good understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), the ECEI Approach and early childhood intervention best practice principles
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to liaise and build collaborative positive working relationships (internal and external)
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise and execute tasks and work with technology in a changing environment
  • Knowledge of CRM/data and management systems and experienced in reporting outcomes to managers on a regular basis
  • Able to work flexibly, be agile and seek out opportunities for improvement
  • Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills
  • Hold a current Drivers Licence and access to a registered vehicle to perform the role

Desirable

  • Experience in the community or early childhood education sector
  • Working with children and families/carers
