About the Role:

Lifeline delivers the national DV-alert program which aims to prevent family and domestic violence (FDV) by building the skills of front-line workers in recognising, responding and referring in regard to FDV. DV-alert provides training to front line workers via face to face workshops (570 delivered nationally in FY19) and e-Learning courses. The Senior DV Alert Program Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of the DV-alert Program and leads Lifeline Australia’s relationships with both the funder (Commonwealth Department of Social Services) and our national consortia of contracted service providers.

In this role you will lead the DV-alert team and be accountable for maintaining a continuous improvement and quality assurance culture to coordinate program deliverables along with developing the effectiveness of the DV Alert program as part of the National Plan to Reduce Violence Against Women and their Children.

Experience and Education

Essential Requirements:

  • A genuine commitment to reducing FDV in our community
  • Extensive management experience with demonstrable success in leading teams in the delivery of complex contracted obligations
  • Strategic thinker with great communication skills and stakeholder engagement
  • Relevant qualifications in contract management, operational service delivery and relationship management
  • Experience in managing government grant and funding arrangements
  • Working with Priority Populations

Position Duties:

  • Continue to build the effectiveness of the DV-alert program in upskilling Australia’s front line workers in recognising, responding and referring within an FDV context
  • Lead Lifeline Australia’s delivery of all contracted grant deliverables
  • Provide people leadership for the DV-alert team
  • Collaborate with the funder in agreeing program strategy, priorities, budgets and activity work-plans
  • Lead meetings with, and the broader collaboration with the funder, building on Lifelines positive and strategic relationship
  • Coordinate the tracking of expenditure against grant budget
  • Communicate with stakeholders of all levels maintaining strong working relationships
  • Lead the relationship with Lifeline member centres with DV-alert Service Agreements
  • Coordinate and negotiate the procurement of DV-alert training services from Lifeline member centres and other service providers
  • Lead DV-alert grant governance within Lifeline Australia across all relevant organisational streams including but not limited to learning & development, reporting, administration, marketing and sector engagement
  • Build relationships within sector and with DV-alert specialist partners from Indigenous, Settlement, Multicultural and LGBTIQ+ sectors
  • Other duties as required
