The role Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ experience
  • Relevant qualifications + additional training in behaviorism e.g. Mandt, ABA
  • Strong independent drive
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in behaviour management, including developing and implementing behaviour support plans
  • Knowledge of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards commissions requirements around restrictive practices
  • Experience in providing training of behaviour management strategies
  • Ability to form relationships and work with individuals, families, carers, staff and others
  • Drivers licence, Car, Laptop, Phone required (by commencement date)
  • ABN + Professional indemnity and liability insurance (by commencement date)

Time commitments:

  • Minimum: 16-22 billable hours a week x 46 weeks a year
  • 1-3 hours of supervision for the continued development of junior behaviour support specialists, every 6 weeks.
  • 1 hour of peer-based supervision every 6-8 weeks + additional external supervision as needed
  • Active engagement in team meetings once a month via video chat and team outings once every 2 months
