Our client is a prestigious medical College accredited by the Australian Medical Council for the training and continuing development of medical practitioners. 

The College is the leading authority in Australia for dermatology, providing information, advocacy and advice to individuals, communities, government and other health stakeholders on skin health and dermatological practice. Its vision is for the highest standard of skin health and dermatology care to be available to all patients and communities.

In this newly created position, you will work within a collaborative team, and support the College’s strategic policy, advocacy and research priorities which align to their overarching strategic plan. 

You will be responsible for proactively developing high quality submissions, policy documents position papers as well as other ad hoc and relevant communications. In consultation with key stakeholders you will ensure that key policy positions are translated into advocacy opportunities, as well as staying up to date on current legislation, issues and political trends. This role has a component of member services and research, and as a part of a hard-working and collaborative team you thrive in a fast paced and varied environment. 

You present with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in this field, and with a relevant tertiary qualification. You are known as an engaging stakeholder manager, with strong writing skills and ideally have worked within health policy or academic research areas.  With a passion for driving policy and advocacy issues forward you add value through your work and are seeking a new challenge in your next position.
