The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Development Officer is responsible for driving the progress of Council’s Reconciliation Action Plan; building organisational capacity; and promoting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and history. Drawing on your knowledge, experience and connections, you will advise, guide and represent Council and support inter-agencies and networks.

To be considered, you must have strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to prepare and deliver reports and presentations of a high standard. You must also have the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders and build positive relationships. You must hold tertiary qualifications and have experience working with Aboriginal communities.
