Lentil As Anything, is looking for 2 new volunteer coordinators to join the current team. You must have strong leadership skills, initiative, and problem-solving abilities. This is a challenging, yet highly rewarding role in two of our most popular locations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Improve and run a system for volunteer acquisition, training and mentorship.
• Train key internal staff in volunteer mentorship processes and procedures.
• Manage administrative paperwork and database processes that pertain to volunteer engagement.
• Create and implement and report upon volunteer engagement processes and performance including rosters.
• Create and manage community outreach programs & build and maintain partnerships with the wider community especially school and corporate partners.
• Support the manager with general operation, cleanliness and aesthetic of the restaurant.
• Provide support and guidance for staff members, volunteers and patrons.
• Work together with other members of the management team to assist with the general operation and growth of Lentil
• Support the manager with general maintenance OHS & WHS compliance
• Support Lentil as Anything fundraising targets as and when required

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Experience/interest in community, development or social enterprise setting
• Have strong volunteering and people management background and understand the needs of volunteers
• Experience in social enterprise, hospitality or the service industry
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively

• Continuous improvement / problem-solving mindset

• Understanding the importance of OHS & WHS
• Knowledge and a willingness to promote and work in accordance with Lentil as Anything’s mission, vision and values
• Hold a VIC open driver’s license (preferred)

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Previous Lentil volunteering experience is preferred
• Experience in NFP Management and/or Community Engagement role is preferred

• Experience with administrative/OHS and work safe.

TIMEFRAME:

• Minimum 1 year commitment
• Minimum full time and part-time positions.
