About CASACV:

CASACV is a dynamic organisation offering a suite of specialist services to clients and community across the central Victoria region. We provide 24-hour crisis care support, therapeutic counselling, early intervention, professional education and training, and research. We provide outreach services across the Loddon region including specialist services at Tarrengower Prison.

The Role:

This exciting position will lead our specialised expert education and training program, delivering information and capacity building to a range of sectors and stakeholders on topics related to sexual assault, trauma, harmful sexual behaviours and family violence. The position will ensure professionals and community members recognise the different forms of sexual violence, understand what drives it and have the resources, information, tools to respond to indicators and disclosures of sexual violence. The position contributes to building professional and community knowledge and capacity to prevent sexual violence from occurring.

Located in Bendigo.

0.6 EFT. 2 year contract – with extension subject to funding.

About You:

You will hold a tertiary qualification in Social Work, Community Development, Education or similar disciplines, and have an understanding of the gendered nature of violence and impacts of trauma across the life course. You will have a sound understanding of the complexities of the service system, and a demonstrated ability to develop and deliver educational/ training programs and community education. You possess exceptional professionalism, accountability and communication including the ability liaise with a range of stakeholders. You have a sound background in group facilitation, including managing group dynamics, and negotiating conflict resolution.
