About CASACV:

CASACV is a dynamic organisation offering a suite of specialist services to clients and community across the central Victoria region. We provide 24-hour crisis care support, therapeutic counselling, early intervention, professional education and training, and research. We provide outreach services across the Loddon region including a specialist service at Tarrengower Prison.

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced person to join the Centre Against Sexual Assault Central Victoria (CASACV) within the Children, Youth and Families Team to provide specialist counselling to children, young people and their families that have experienced sexual assault, and to support to their non-offending family or friends. Located in Bendigo with travel and outreach requirements.

About You:

You will hold a tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Family Therapy, Counselling or related discipline and have an understanding of the gendered nature of violence, and the impact of trauma on children, young people and their families. You will have a sound understanding of the complexities of the service system, a demonstrated ability to provide therapeutic services including clinical assessment, treatment and advocacy. You will also participate in intake, conducting assessments and facilitating trauma-informed therapeutic group work.
