The Centre

KU Marcia Burgess Autism Specific Early Learning and Care Centre (ASELCC) is located in Liverpool. The centre has adopted the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) to provide intervention within the early learning program for children aged 0-6 years old with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a long day care setting. It also provides parents with support in the care of their children and gives them the opportunity to participate more fully in the community.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team in providing support and expertise for families of children from birth with developmental disability or developmental delay. The ideal applicant should be able to work in a transdisciplinary team and have knowledge of NDIS.

On offer is a permanent full time position working 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday and accruing one Rostered Day Off (RDO)

To be considered for this role the following are essential:

  • Degree in Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) or its equivalent
  • Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
  • AHPRA registration
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check
  • Knowledge of child protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
  • Demonstrated professional level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated computer literacy
