The Centre & Role

The KU Marcia Burgess Autism Specific Early Learning and Care Centre (ASELCC) is one of six federally funded ASELCCs in Australia and the only one in NSW. It is co-located with KU Liverpool Preschool. The centre has adopted the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) to provide intervention within the early learning program for children aged 0 - 6 years old with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a long day care setting. It also provides parents with support in the care of their children and gives them the opportunity to participate more fully in the community.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a unique and innovative service.

This fixed term, 12 month contracted position will see you working 8 hours per day, Monday-Friday and accruing one monthly rostered day off (RDO).

The Role of the ASELCC Director is to:

  • To provide leadership and support while working as a member of a multidisciplinary team in order to implement the ESDM for children and families of this service.
