The Role

This role leads and professionally supports a transdisciplinary team of Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and ESDM therapists across multiple locations in NSW & Victoria. The role is to establish and manage new high quality Allied Health services for both KU Children and families and those families from the wider community. The role involves working with colleagues across different departments within KU and you will work directly with Therapists, Children, and families at KU locations. Supported by experienced administrators and reporting directly to the General Manager Inclusion, this is a wonderful opportunity to really make a difference in the lives of children!

The Manager Allied Health is responsible for overseeing the establishment of operations, resourcing and financial management of the Allied Health team in collaboration with the General Manager Inclusion. This position also involves the implementation of the NDIS Quality Standards across each centre and supporting the ongoing growth and sustainability of Allied Health services within nominated KU Services.

This permanent position is based in our Central Office on York street, Sydney CBD and will see you working 8 hours per day, 5 days per week accruing a monthly rostered day off.

The Criteria

  • Undergraduate degree/ post graduate degree in Early Childhood, Social Science, Allied Health or Health Administration
  • Demonstrate current knowledge of the NDIS Quality Practice Standards as well as the early Childhood & early intervention sectors
  • Experience in working with and managing multi-disciplinary teams
  • Sound knowledge of child protection legislation and its implications of care and protection of children.
  • Strong organisational skills, computer literacy and communication skills
  • Appropriate Working With Children’s checks (VIC & NSW)
  • NDIS Work Screening Check
