About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Kinship Carer Support Worker to provide case management and support to Kinship Carers in the KWY Kinship Care Program.

The successful applicant will possess skills, experience, and knowledge in working with Aboriginal people in a case management or support setting. The role also includes provision of assistance, advocacy and information to Kinship Carers.

The KWY Kinship Carer Support Worker will also have strong communication skills to ensure the day to day liaison with Kinship Carers and relevant government and non-government stakeholders; pertinent to the delivery of the program. Intrastate and overnight travel may be required.

The successful candidate will be a reliable, proactive and experienced professional with demonstrated abilities in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, with experience in the child protection or out of home care settings.
