KWY has developed a highly specialised and customised suite of programs focusing on domestic and family violence, child protection and social and emotional well-being.
KWY’s priority is promoting the safety and welfare of women and children. We aim to improve the safety of women and children by providing specialist knowledge and culturally appropriate services to break the cycle of domestic violence and stem the flow of Aboriginal children into the child protection systems across Australia.

The Accountant is an integral member of the Management Team and works closely with the Board, CEO and Managers to deliver the company strategy and mission.
This payrate will be determined by your level of skills and experience.

KWY has very strong relationships within the Government, Not for Profits, Aboriginal organisations, Aboriginal community, and the wider community. There are a wide range of interesting technical challenges to get your teeth into including managing budgets, invoicing, payroll, structuring, tax accounting, compliance and corporate governance.
There will be a strong handover period with the long-term Accountant, giving a high performer the chance to maximise the learning opportunity.
The Accountant is responsible for the oversight of the financial operations of the company. Duties will include data entry of all functions and managing payroll, organising financial accounts, the development of financial strategies, metrics tied to those strategies, the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets, managing budgets, reporting accurate financial results and management of cash flow and capital requirements.
The role is currently part time, but if you require full time and have the appropriate skills (to assist in HR, high level admin, marketing, ICT, or project work), we can discuss this as an option.
You will be somebody who is comfortable with all facets of financial and corporate accounting, with a particularly strong skillset in excel, MYOB, monthly financial reporting and the preparation of annual accounts. In addition to this you will ideally have the following:
