Knox City Council are recruiting for an experienced Community Development practitioner to work and partner with diverse communities in Knox. The Community Development Officer - Access and Equity (Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Portfolio) is a full time - temporary position in the Community Access, Equity and Safety Team - Community Wellbeing Department.

The suitable person for this role will have experience working with and a comprehensive understanding of the issues impacting the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. You will have expertise and demonstrated experience in leading community projects with diverse and marginalised population groups and contribute to identifying and responding to community health and wellbeing priorities. You will enjoy working in a collaborative team environment and working autonomously to achieve the positions key responsibilities.

  • Remuneration: $85,849.73 to $93,760.82 plus 9.5% superannuation
  • Position: Full Time, temporary (6 months, with a possible extension until 30 June 2021)
