We are recruiting an experienced Knowledge Manager to work in our education and community practices. The role has two dimensions, one is to ensure all of the company’s proprietary and other methodologies are accessible and understood by all team members and that they have quality, easy-to-use templates and precedents available at all times. The second dimension is to curate research and synthesise knowledge across the domains and sectors in which we work. You will be a core part of all project teams, delivering timely and critical knowledge.

Well-curated knowledge including both data and description are core differentiators of Knowledge Society’s approach to problem-solving, human centred design and change management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Curation and improvement of all proprietary and standard methodologies across two practice areas

  • Support for team members to access and use our most standard methodologies and templates for both consulting, client engagement and change management

  • Coordinating and contributing to the production of new methodologies and their codification

  • Research and knowledge curation and synthesis

  • Collaborating on project teams to solve problems on implementation and design challenges across the practices

Selection criteria

Essential

  • 3 years + knowledge management experience in professional services or related environments

  • Research and knowledge curation experience in scientific or professional domains

  • Strong writing skills including the ability to write for different audiences

  • Ability to communicate well with senior staff and diverse stakeholders

  • Natural aptitude for collaboration with other professionals

  • Confident verbal communication and facilitation skills

  • Naturally curious – this means that you read broadly, ask intelligent questions and are constantly learning and problem solving

Desirable

  • Change management experience

  • Experience in the education sector

  • Editing skills

  • University qualifications in knowledge management

Position details

Reporting: This Knowledge Manager role reports to the CEO.

Location: This role is based in our Subiaco office. Travel within WA and interstate may be required (if and when possible) and a remote candidate will be considered.

Salary: $90,000 - 100,000 (plus superannuation) depending on experience and track record.

Duration: Full-time (approximately 37.5 hrs per week), or flexibility as part-time (minimum 4 days per week). Fixed-term contract for one year with the potential for extension.
