The position of General Counsel is responsible for providing high level advice to the KLC relevant to its functions and operations, in particular in relation to carbon, fire and ranger services, corporate services the performance of statutory functions, and representing the KLC in proceedings to which it is a party relevant to its functions.
The position operates out of Broome KLC office with frequent travel throughout the Kimberley Region, however due to being a maternity relief position, a remote working arrangement with travel as required can be negotiated with the successful candidate.
This position is identified as a KLC Executive level 2.0. Superannuation of 10% and additional salary allowances offered include district allowance, rental assistance where applicable, relocation allowance, salary sacrificing options and 5 weeks annual leave.
**Please note, this is an approx 15 month contract for maternity relief.**
