Due to recent customer growth throughout the Central West - Bathurst region, we are seeking applications for Entry level or Experienced  Support Workers to join the Kirinari Team. This position will be for an immediate start

About the Position

The Youth/Mental Health Worker (Disability) is responsible for the day to day support of our customers within a variety of different support accommodations. The DSW will work with our complex customers where ages can range from 12 years of age and above. Our support services range from support in accommodation, domestic/personal assistance services as well as accessing the community.

This position is working in our supported independent living accommodation (SIL/Group Homes).

This position is open to applicants who are new to the industry or have experience across a range of support services including challenging behaviours and or high physical needs.

We have both Part-Time Permanent positions and Casual positions on offer with the possibility of converting to Part-Time Permanent hours as they become available.

Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers, weekends and public and/or school holidays with significant availability
  • Resilience, self-confidence and willingness to engage clients with various backgrounds and needs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with clients to actively support individual needs
  • Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement
  • NSW Working With Children Check before commencement
  • Current Driver's License
  • Basic IT skills
  • Smart Phone

Kirinari is obligated to abide by all mandates issued by our funding bodies.

A mandatory requirement of this position is that all staff working within the youth sector must have received their first COVID vaccination by the 21st October 2021 and second by the 17th January 2021.
