A children's mental health charity, KidsXpress helps to transform the lives of children impacted by adversity. We deliver trauma-informed Expressive Therapy to children under the age of 12yrs and Education Services for those that care for them.

KidsXpress is experiencing an exciting growth phase and is looking to expand our team in the Snowy Valleys region.

about the role

We are calling for expressions of interest from suitably qualified therapists who possess large doses of playful courage, copious amounts of creativity and extra layers of care. Most of all, you are curious about joining the specialist KidsXpress team and place children at the heart of everything you do.

As a therapist you will deliver both individual and group therapeutic services to a range of clients including supporting and building relationships with caregivers. Ideally you will have experience supporting a range of conditions, including behavioural concerns, anxiety, grief and loss, stress and trauma.

If you reside outside of the Tumut/Batlow area but are open to relocating or are willing to commute, additional financial allowances may apply.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • A tertiary qualification in expressive or creative arts, psychology, allied health, education or a welfare-related field or other relevant qualifications/experience
  • Experience in working therapeutically with children aged 4-12 years
  • Experience working with individual clients and small groups
  • Experience in or demonstrated awareness of working with children with complex trauma
  • WWCC number as evidence of Working with Children Check
  • National Police History Check
  • Current valid driver license
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to an integrative approach
