About the opportunity

Full time and part-time opportunities exist to work in our innovative therapeutic program.

The Sexual Abuse Counselling and Prevention Program (SACPP) is a highly regarded program that provides specialist therapeutic services to children and young people up to age 18 who have been sexually abused, children aged less than 10 years exhibiting problematic sexualised behaviours.

In this position you will be required to:

• Undertake expert clinical work with children, young people, and their families as well as the systems that support them.
• Be an active participant in both individual and group supervision and reflective practice.
• Assist in the planning, development, and delivery of community-based group programs on a range of issues which arise out of the tertiary work in SACPP including sexual abuse, problematic and harmful sexual behaviours.

What we are looking for?

• Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, counselling or, child and family welfare or a related discipline.
• Experience in delivering therapeutic services to young people who have engaged in or been harmed by sexually abusive behaviours and their families.
• Some experience in Groupwork, training and consultation would be desirable.
