The Kids First Northern Healing and Recovery Program (NHARP) works in a formal partnership with Berry Street, InTouch Multicultural Centre Against Family Violence, Rubix Support and Thorne Harbour Health. This consortia partnership is responsible for leading and governing the Family Violence Recovery service for children and young people aged 0-17, in the North East and Hume Morland areas of Melbourne.

Your new role

  • An exciting opportunity currently exists in our innovative therapeutic program - NHARP for a committed person who is passionate about leading a team of Practitioners working with families impacted by family violence.
  • The primary role of the Team Leader NHARP is to support and implement the delivery of the innovative Family Violence Specialist program.
  • To lead and support a team of highly skilled practitioners that provide therapeutic, attachment-based group and individual recovery interventions.
  • Ensure the continued delivery of these interventions are implemented in accordance with current, evidence-based family violence theories and practice frameworks.

About you

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, child and family social welfare or related discipline.
  • Experience in the leadership of multidisciplinary teams, including the provision of clinical supervision and the facilitation of clinical review and performance management processes.
  • Expertise in current family violence theories and practice frameworks.
  • Have related counselling experience as well as proven experience leading a counselling program and experience in group work.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in the use of current theoretical approaches and best practice for working with families where family violence has occurred.
  • Demonstrated capability to network and build productive relationships with stakeholders both inside and outside organisational boundaries.
  • Brilliant interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Networking and facilitation skills.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic with a strong passion for social justice.
