ROLE DESCRIPTION
Working closely with the Manager – Client Services and Coordinator – Therapeutic Horticulture, the Coordinator – GROW Program will provide task supervision and coaching to KHG field staff to assist them in delivering effective, evidence-based services to KHG participants.
An essential aspect of this role is an ability to work well in a positive and energetic manner in order to ensure positive outcomes for participants of KHG through modelling appropriate workplace behaviour.

CORE FUNCTIONS
May include:
- Task supervision and induction of KHG Trainers, Support Workers, Volunteers and Students on Placement working within the core GROW Program;
- Coordinating and contributing to regular case noting for GROW Program participants;
- Contributing to the development of the GROW Program in conjunction with the Coordinator – Therapeutic Horticulture and Senior Trainers, under direction of the Manager – Client Services;
- Liaising with the Coordinator – Therapeutic Horticulture and Senior Trainers to ensure that activities within the GROW Program are evidence-based and tailored to meet the needs of program participants;
- Assisting the Leadership Team in the development of policy and practice across service delivery areas, as required;
- Supporting staff to work with complex participants, as required;
- Demonstrating empathy and respect, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for a diverse group of people;
- Problem solving, including providing assistance as required to lower classified employees;
- Managing time, planning and organising their own work plan;
- Participation at regular KHG staff planning sessions;
- Operating according to KHG policies;
- Working as part of a cooperative multidisciplinary team;
- Other duties as required.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work / Teaching / allied health or equivalent;
- Experience working with people with disabilities and/or mental health conditions;
- Sincere and appropriate levels of empathy, consideration and respect towards others;
- Ability to successfully work independently or as part of a group;
- Capacity to build effective working relationships;
- Demonstrated capacity to make timely and appropriate decisions;
- Ability to successfully coach a team in a complex work environment;
- Computer literacy.
DESIRABLE
- Experience or interest in therapeutic horticulture;
- Leadership or coaching experience;
- An understanding of not-for-profit environments.
