Based in Subiaco, and reporting to the Information Technology Manager you will be responsible for supporting the development, monitoring and maintaining Cancer Council WA’s technology platforms including servers, databases, networks, desktops, cyber security and business continuity.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Managing and maintaining Cancer Council WA’s technology platforms
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
  • Liaise with 3rd party suppliers for repairs, modifications and updates as required
  • Provide desktop support both remotely and on-site as required
  • Ensure Cancer Council WA’s IT systems, procedures and policies are maintained and adhered to at all times
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Who are you?

To be successful in this role you will have the following key attributes:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a technical support role in medium sized organisation
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related
  • Experience with Exchange, Microsoft 365, Sharepoint and cloud solutions (Azure) is desirable
  • Experience in supporting and maintaining predominantly Windows Server based environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, File Services, IIS, SQL and Remote Desktop Services
  • Experience supporting virtualised environments (VMWare)
  • Good knowledge and hands-on experience in cyber security operations, best practices, methodologies and frameworks.
  • Backup and disaster recovery procedures
  • Experience working with network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls and wireless access points (Cisco, HP, Rukus, IBM, Cloud Firewalls) is desirable
  • Knowledge of voice over IP Telephones preferable for Mitel is desirable
  • Knowledge of Windows 10, Follow-me printing and Microsoft Office is desirable
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Ability to take initiative, be proactive and self-directed
  • Customer service focused with strong communication skills
  • A current driver’s license and the ability to travel to regional sites as required
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of Cancer Council WA
