Working as part of the Philanthropy and Partnerships team you will be responsible for overseeing the Major Gifts program at Cancer Council WA, driving donor engagement, and leading stewardship across the donor journey.

You main responsibilities will include:

  • Develop a major giving strategy that incorporates a Moves Management approach with a set of new and existing major donors
  • Coordinate research and data that will allow the development and implementation of donor plans
  • Steward major and mid-level donors to increase engagement and retention
  • Evaluate and report on all major giving relationships
  • Develop strategic internal stakeholder relationships that support the program

Who are you?

To be successful in this role you will have the following key attributes:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a major giving role or in a fundraising relationship management role
  • Strong interpersonal, networking and negotiation skills with a variety of stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of organisational skills with ability to work under pressure and demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks
  • Experience in data segmentation, data analytics and reporting is desirable
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • High level of initiative and enthusiasm
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases
  • WA C-class Driver’s License
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of Cancer Council WA
  • Positive approach to the workplace

Based in Subiaco, this position is full time (part-time requests may be considered).
