About the role

The Employment Pathways branch of genU provides a range of funded employment programs to assist participants on their pathway to employment. This includes individualised employment supports, School Leavers Employment Supports and post placement support.

As the Employment Pathways Team Leader you will be responsible for the day-to-day support of staff and participants and the delivery of employment related supports to NDIS participants across all ages.

Duties will include:

  • Liaise with appropriate staff, participants and stakeholders to ensure participant supports match goals and progress is being implemented, monitored and reviewed;
  • Assist with creating, developing and implementing innovative individual and group supports to assist with building workplace capacity for participants with varying job readiness;
  • Liaise and work cooperatively with a range of stakeholders including families, group homes, support coordinators and allied health specialists.

About You

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Disability, Community Services, or a related field; or a minimum of Certificate IV in Disability with substantial relevant experience;
  • Previous experience in the disability sector, delivering centres and community based programs;
  • Demonstrated effective time management and prioritising skills, whilst maintaining flexibility for unexpected tasks;
  • Experience in designing, delivering and evaluating job readiness activities and supports.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders, prepare quality reports and written communications.
