About the role

As a Personal Care Worker you will provide a range of domestic tasks and personal care for clients that they find difficult, or are unable to complete because of their frailty, health or physical limitations. The position undertakes a range of daily domestic and household activities and other tasks such as:

  • General housework and cleaning
  • Meal preparation
  • Meal planning and assisting with the purchase of groceries
  • Assisting with community based appointments, or community access
  • Assisting with personal care where extra help is required due to client limitations including medication assistance

genU are seeking experienced personal care workers whom are available to work mornings, early evenings and weekends.

Essential Skills and experience:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or Community Services
  • Knowledge in Aged Care quality standards
  • Previous experience in the provision of personal care, domestic and household activities to people who are ageing, have a disability or mental illness;
  • A current driver’s licence, comprehensive insurance and a reliable registered motor vehicle;
  • Basic computer skills
  • Mobile phone
  • Level 2 First Aid (with at least six months currency)
  • CPR (with at least six months currency)
  • A current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
